Blessed To Be A Part of God’s Plan

Young Life matters to me for so many reasons! Here are a few:

I get a front row seat to see the building of God's kingdom. I get to regularly hear stories of how God is working in and through the lives of volunteer leaders and students. I get to hear stories of students encountering Jesus at camp and making eternity changing decisions to follow him. What a privilege to know that students are becoming followers of Jesus because of this team effort called Young Life -- of which I play a role!

I get to see my prayers answered. We are committed to entrust this ministry to God through prayer and ask Him to solve problems, break down barriers, make paths smooth, and to set up divine appointments and conversations. And He does!!

I get to build community with kingdom-minded staff, committee members, volunteer leaders, and community members. There is nothing that builds relationships like serving God together in our community. There are people on committee that I have been serving with for many years. I know they would be there for me in a heartbeat if I needed them and I would be there for them. 

I get to invest the financial resources God has given me in building His kingdom. I have not found any other ministry as effective as Young Life for reaching non-believing students. There is also no better investment I have found than helping to send a kid to camp. Not only will they have one of the best weeks of their life, they will have an opportunity to hear the Gospel in its entirety and respond! Many students meet Jesus at camp and I feel so blessed to play a small role in God's plan for them.
